Our ENT PatientDr. Lykins Takes Pride in His Work
This review is long past due. Dr. Lykins performed my partial thyroidectomy in Oct 2014. This sounds common, but it is not an easy surgery and my goiter was particularly large. Dr. Lykins takes pride in his work, he wants to do an excellent job, and he did take all the extra time in surgery that day to get it right. I have a very small scar, but did not suffer any of the possible complications from the surgery.
As is typical, I had pre and post op office visits with Dr. Lykins. He has a cheerful personality, he explained everything, answered all my questions, and he did not rush.
Dr. Lykins seems like he genuinely likes what he is doing and wanted me to have a successful experience. At a post-op office visit the MA was busy, so he took out my last lingering stitch himself instead of making me wait.
Gloria D.Dr. Chris Lykins is one of the finest Doctors I have dealt with.
Dr. Chris Lykins is one of the finest doctors I have dealt with. He took on a problem with a growth in my nose that no one else would deal with. Because of my heart condition the growth had to be removed under local anesthesia. He saw the problem, scheduled the surgery and removed the growth (which turned out to be cancer). I had been dealing with this painful problem for over 6 months. It is absolutely worth any distance to travel to get this type of excellent treatment.
If you are thinking about getting your gauged ears sewn up – definitely see Dr. Chris Lykins.
I am really late in writing this review (like a year) – Dr. Lykins, please forgive me 🙂
I had 1-1/8″ gauges and then I decided to get a real job, so I needed to get my gauged earlobes sewed up. Dr. Lykins was really friendly, confident and knew exactly what he was doing. The procedure was not only painless, but he put on a cool “chill” playlist – so we were listening to music and having a conversation the whole time. Dr. Lykins even let me (don’t get grossed out) film the procedure on my phone, so I was able to see everything as it was happening (maybe not your thing).
I found out that a friend of mine was a keynote speaker at an Ear Nose and Throat medical conference, so I brought up Dr. Lykins to him to get an “inside perspective”. This friend of mine is a well-respected ENT doctor, and had nothing but great things to say about Dr. Chris Lykins. So there you have it – from both the bottom (patient) and top (fellow ENT expert doc) of the healthcare “totem pole”.
Now, a year later, when I share with new friends that I used to have gauges, I actually have to show old photos to these new friends before they’ll believe me. Without a doubt – if you are thinking about getting your gauged ears sewn up – definitely see Dr. Chris Lykins.
Enjoy : )
